Job Description

 

This is part-time skilled work involving the care and maintenance of municipal golf course greens, tees, fairways, roughs, sand bunkers and general grounds.  Work includes maintaining all equipment and mowers; operation of gang mowers and a variety of turf equipment; watering and applying chemicals to greens, tees, fairways and roughs; laying sod and seed; maintaining sand bunkers, water hazards and other plant materials; and other related work.  Work is also performed on weekends and holidays.

 

Pay Rate:  $13.91 - $19.23 per hour

Minimum Qualifications.  Applicants must:

·         Possess a valid State of Florida Driver’s License.

·         Have knowledge of planting and care of golf course grounds.

·         Have knowledge of the operation and care of various types of mowing equipment.

·         Be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

·         Be able to work weekends and holidays.

·         Be able to deal tactfully and courteously with golf course patrons

 

Desirable Qualifications.  Preferred applicants:

·      Possess a valid high school diploma or GED equivalency.
